‘Your Adoring Audience Is Clamoring For More Heavy-Handed Sarcastic Wit And Cynicism.’

By raronauer

Sorry audience, there’s a limit to how many thoughts I can express in Word Press form.

Now that I’m blogging professionally, writing any extra posts seems like a busman’s holiday. If you don’t know what a busman’s holiday is, I’ve included a link with more information right here. How’s that for heavy-handed sarcastic wit?

And here’s a cultural recommendation:

If you’re within 20 miles of a book store, I’d recommend going out and buying Junot Diaz’s The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. It’s not the kind of book I’d recommend to fat friends because the main character is fat or that I’d give to a Dominican person, and say, “hey, this book follows the lives of Dominicans and I know how you can relate to every Dominican-American ever.”

It’s a book I recommend universally, to the fat and thin, to the Dominican and non-Dominican, because it’s incredible. The characters, the writing, the story. Everything. If you know how to read, you should be reading this book.

Also, I almost cried listening to Junot Diaz explain his relationship with the English language on Fresh Air. This recommendation is not for the fat and thin alike. This is only for literary geeks.
